Rovers 3 Burscough 1
Two goals from Steve Jennings and one from Adam Dickinson earned Rovers a 3-1 win over Burscough and a place in the Liverpool Senior Cup final.
A strong Rovers side including Paul Linwood, Ian Goodison, Steve Jennings and Danny Harrison played well throughout and went close to opening the scoring several times in the first half. Davies, Linwood, Olly James, Paul Brown and Dickinson all shot wide or forced saves from the Burscough keeper before Rovers took the lead on 35 minutes, with Dickinson forcing home from a corner.
Harrison shot wide shortly before the break but the visitors drew level on 65 minutes, with Steve Wilson being beaten by Karl Bell from the right side of the area.
But the introduction of Mike Jones changed the game for Rovers - the midfielder setting up Jenningss for the second on 68 minutes. Seven minutes later the scoring was completed in style as Jennings found the net from 25 yards following a poorly cleared corner.
Rovers will now face either Marine or Liverpool in the final.
