Tranmere exited the Pontin's Holidays League Cup Semi-Finals at Rotherham on Wednesday afternoon with a penalty shoot out defeat.

Joe Fowler equalised late in the game for Rovers to take the game to a shoot outshoot out. Steve Davies, Adam Dickinson and Paul Brown all converted but Mike Jones' missed and with the home side netting all five, John McMahon's side went out of the competition 5-3 on penalties.
