Tranmere Reserves claimed a point in a six-goal thriller away to Burnley in the Pontin's Holidays League.

Rovers, who again featured triallist Dale Whitehead, went 1-0 down on four minutes but levelled through Adam Dickinson just after the half hour mark.

Burnley regained the lead but two fine goals from Luke Holden (52, 65) put Rovers in charge late in the game.

However, John McMahon's side were denied all three points by a Clarets goal ten minutes from time.
