Reserves Finish Fourth
Tranmere Reserves finished the 2005-06 season in fourth place in the Pontin's Holidays League Division One West.
John McMahon's side picked up 28 points from 18 games and finished just three points off second place.
Rovers also reached the semi-finals of the League Cup, and they have earned a place in the final of the Liverpool Senior Cup against Marine.
For the majority of games, the side was made up of young professionals and youth scholars, making the fourth placed finish a noteable achievement.
The final game of the season featured just two players not in their teens as Rovers fielded a squad with an average age of 18 years old.
Olly James - who made his first team debut in the final game of the season against Doncaster - appeared in every single game, while Chris Dagnall and Steve Davies led the scoring with 13 and 12 goals respectively.
