Tranmere Reserves will play Blackburn Rovers, Chester City and Shrewsbury Town in Group 1 of the Pontin's Holidays League Cup.

Though no dates have yet been set for the games, Rovers will defintely play away to Blackburn but at home to Chester and Shrewsbury.

Last season Rovers reached the Semi-Finals of the League Cup and only went out of the competition to Rotherham on penalties.

Meanwhile, in the 1st Round of the Unibond Cheshire Senior Cup, Rovers have been drawn away to Witton Albion, with the date of the fixture yet to be decided.
