Rovers 1 Oldham 4

Tranmere conceded four second half goals to suffer their first defeat of the Pontin's Holidays League season.
Rovers dominated the first half and had hit the post twice through Luke Holden and Mike Jones before they took the lead on 40 minutes through John Corrigan.
The second year scholar received the ball on the edge of the area and after skipping past two defenders saw his initial shot blocked. The rebound fell to Jones who found Corrigan once again and the striker ran beyond one challenge before coolly chipping the onrushing keeper.
But the Latics levelled in the first minute of the second half when Chris Taylor fired in from the left side of the area.
Nine minutes later the visitors took the lead in controversial fashion. A penalty was awarded for what seemed an innocuous challenge inside the Rovers area. Chris Porter sent John Achterberg the wrong way from the spot in what proved to be the turning point in the game.
On 71 minutes Oldham went two goals up when a Craig Rocastle shot deflected off Sean Ferguson and beat Achterberg and the game was over six minutes later when Taylor netted his second. After being put through on goal, the midfielder slid the ball past Achterberg after the keeper had slipped on the pitch, which became very slippery after heavy rain.
