Tranmere Reserves suffered a seven goal thrashing at Christie Park against Blackburn Rovers in the Pontin's Holidays League Cup.

To make matters worse, midfielder Danny Harrison was shown a red card on 66 minutes for his part in an incident with Matt Derbyshire.

Derbyshire had earlier netted a hat-trick, with Joe Garner also hitting a treble and Eddie Nolan on target.
