Curran: "We Can Get Much Better"
Craig Curran says the best is yet to come for Rovers.
The striker, who scored the winning goal against Hartlepool on Saturday, believes there is plenty of room for improvement, citing the missed chances at Grimsby as an example.
He told www.tranmererovers.co.uk: "It was great to win. We just needed the three points. We desperately needed a win, especially in the league after the defeat at Swindon.
"We were unlucky last Tuesday that the chances didn't go in, we just needed to finish them off. It was unbelievable, you just had your head in your hands and you don't know what's going on. But you have those days. You've just got to pick yourself up and go again.
"You have days where they don't go in form five yards, but there's days where they go in from much further out.
"I don't think [the Hartlepool game] was that much better than Grimsby. Goody came in and steadied everything up, I think he's a massive player for us. But in terms of creating chances, I think there were a lot more against Grimsby.
"I think goals will come if we keep creating chances. I think we can get much better. We're still adapting to the 4-3-3 and I think it will all knit together. If we keep creating chances they'll go in."
This Saturday Rovers travel to the Walkers Stadium to take on Leicester City and Curran hopes to make it two wins in a row.
He added: "Every game is a big game. To come out with three points again would be great. I look forward to playing everywhere. I'm enjoying playing and just want to carry on."
