Midfielder Chris Shuker was happy to get the first win of the season on Tuesday night as Rovers defeated Grimsby Town 4-0 in the Carling Cup.

He commented: "It was a disappointing start for us last Saturday at Yeovil. So it was good for us to have another game so quickly to give us a chance to bounce back and get into the next round of the Carling Cup. Thankfully we did that.

"I don't think there was much difference between our two performances though - we played alright in spells at Yeovil. The pitch helped us on Tuesday against Grimsby. The ball zipped around quite a bit which suits our game."
