Luke Daniels says Charlton will face a much improved Tranmere team to the one they defeated earlier in the season when the two clubs meet on Saturday.
Rovers travel to the Valley on the back of a 2-1 win over Yeovil, and Daniels says the side will go there with confidence.
He told www.tranmererovers.co.uk: "We're well aware they're one of the better sides but at the moment we're playing with the belief we can go there and get something. We won't go there with any fear. We're looking forward to it and it should be a good game.
"We're a lot more resilient than we were. On Tuesday night we were disappointed we conceded the goal, but earlier in the season we would have just been happy with the points.
"We're a better side now than when we last played [Charlton]. We do a lot of work as a back five and from playing with each other regularly we're clicking a bit more and we're more solid."
