Ian Thomas-Moore says the Tranmere squad need to concentrate on their own score first before looking to other results.
Rovers travel to Stockport County on Saturday looking for three points and one of Exeter, Hartlepool or Gillingham to lose to stay in League One.
The captain told Tranmere Player: "We've just got to go and win the game. I think we're good enough to go there and do that.
"I'm looking forward to the game. I'm 33 and I've played in some big games in my career, and this is one of the biggest. I'm captain of the team and we want to stay in this division."
