Welsh: "It Could Be The Perfect Game For Us"

Posted on: Mon 13 Feb 2012

John Welsh says Rovers could use Huddersfield's league position to their own advantage when the two clubs meet on Saturday.

The Terriers come to Prenton Park in second place in League 1 and bookies' favourites to go home with three points, but the captain says Tranmere have shown that can count for little in the past.

He told Tranmere Player: "It's going to be a really tough game. They're a good side with a lot of good individuals.

"It could be the perfect game for us, nobody is expecting us to get anything but we'll go and try our hardest and hopefully get three points.

"A couple of times last year big teams came here expecting to roll us over and we did well. We're well organised, we're hard working and we'll give it our all.

"Each game is a big game, we want three points from them all.

"The lads are all pulling together and we need to turn this bad run of results around. There's no more perfect game than Saturday."
