We keep you up to date on the latest injury situation at Prenton Park and who is currently being treated by Physio Les Parry...

Les' programme notes (sponsored by Total Fitness) against Crewe Alexandra:

I love these Friday nights, it's just a shame we don't have many this season. Next Tuesday's match knackers the weekend a bit as well but never mind, might be able to get a bit of gardening done tomorrow afternoon.

We came through Tuesday's match without too many problems. Those of you who were worried about Bas, all 2 of you, needn't have, he was only winded. Saying that, it is the most frightening feeling in the world when you can't breath, especially when you have some old fat physio fella leaning over you telling you to relax. That's all you can do really, just show a bit of compassion, love and understanding while coaxing the player to relax and start breathing normally. That or just call him a tart and tell him to get up. Some of you will have noticed that when I was walking back to the bench I had a massive blue ink stain down the side of my face off Bas's head. No wonder he only paid £12 to get it dyed, they used cheap stuff. It took me 2 days to rub the blue off the side of my face.

Also injured in that match was Ian Goodison who went over on his ankle early on and struggled a bit. Ian has just got back from a couple of weeks in Jamaica where he played in 2 wins against Mexico and Honduras. Jamaica have got a great home record but are rubbish away and I think it's got something to do with the air conditioning system in Kingston. The outflow from the Jamaican dressing room is pumped out into the away dressing room before being sucked away again and blown outside. That is where the problem lies. The away side are going out as high as a kite from sucking in the smoke from the wacky backy being smoked in the Jamaican dressing room. They're just not used to it. If you don't believe me, take a look at the matches on DVD, the opposition are always playing with a stupid grin on their faces and laughing every time they make a mistake. God knows what the away dressing room would be like after a match with Jamaica celebrating in the home dressing room! The other thing about playing for Jamaica is that he must get paid for it but you wouldn't know. He owes me £15 because I paid a couple of fines for him when he was away and he won't give it me back. It's not the £15 is the thought so if you see him tonight, have a go at him and hopefully he'll give me my money back. Anyway, Goodie has trained since Tuesday so should be ok for tonight.

I continue just having just Craig Curran with me at the moment. I think I'm going to have to distance myself from him a bit, he's getting too close. I think he looks on me as a second dad but I've got 3 of my own so I don't need another one. He keeps opening out to me and asking for my advice about his relationships and even asked me to tell him about he birds and bees the other day. I'm hardly the person to ask. A few years ago Elaine told me that she had been through all that with Lisa and Amy so I had to do my bit and have a chat to Paul and explain about contraception and all that. When he was in the car with me I just asked him if he had done sex education at school and when he said he had I just said "that will do" and left it at that so Craig's own dad is going to have to do that.

That's about it for tonight. Just a quick note to finish. I saw that Steve Davies broke his cheek bone last week so just hope it heals quickly and he's back playing again.
