Johnstone's Paint Trophy, Round One. Kick off 7pm at Prenton Park

Tranmere are without Gareth Taylor and Calvin Zola for the visit of Morecambe, while there are doubts over the fitness of Paul McLaren, Shane Sherriff and Ian Goodison.

Ronnie Moore has already revealed that Antony Kay will start, while there could be roles for Carl Tremarco and Adnan Ahmed.

Rovers go into the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie on a three game unbeaten run, the same run of form Sammy McIlroy's Morecambe are enjoying.

The Shrimps currently lie tenth in League Two, while they have grabbed the headlines with their Carling Cup run that resulted in the elimination of Championship sides Preston and Wolves.

McIlroy is without Fraser McLachlan (broken leg) but may give a first start to striker Matt Blinkhorn.

Tonight's game is the first competitive meeting between the two sides, though they have met in a number of pre-season friendlies. Earlier this summer Rovers made the trip to Christie Park and ran out 3-0 winners, with Chris Greenacre, Steve Davies and Calvin Zola on target.

Rovers are 4/7 to win with bet365, while a 3-0 victory can be backed at 10/1. Fancy a scorecast? Steve Jennings scoring first in a 3-0 win is 115/1. Remember, every bet you place at bet365 directly helps the Club.
