Tranmere v Crewe
Monday, 6 October, kick off 7pm at Prenton Park
Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore's only injury concern heading into tonight's match is defender Ian Goodison.
The Jamaican international picked up a back injury during the game at Carlisle but is likely to be fit for the match at home to Crewe.
Crewe boss Steve Holland is without defender Julien Baudet with Dennis Lawrence his likely replacement. Defenders Chris McCready and George Abbey are both ruled out with hamstring injuries and midfielder Ben Rix remains on the sidelines with suspected ligament damage in his foot.
The Railwaymen currently lie 22nd in League One on seven points, while they reached the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with a 3-0 win over Macclesfield Town at Gresty Road.
Tonight is the 126th time the two clubs have met, with Tranmere holding a 53 wins to 41 advantage. Last season the sides drew 1-1 at Prenton Park with Chris Shuker cancelling out a Gary Roberts penalty and Crewe won 4-3 at Gresty Road in a memorable New Year's Day encounter. Chris Greenacre, Andy Taylor and Paul McLaren were on target for Rovers, with Roberts (2), Nicky Maynard and Danny O'Donnell scoring for the Alex.
Rovers can be backed to win at 4/6 with bet365, while a 2-1 win is 7/1. Fancy a scorecast? Chris Greenacre scoring first in a 3-1 win is 40/1! Remember, every bet you place with bet365 directly helps the Club.
