Saturday, 2 May, kick off 3pm at Glanford Park

Tranmere's final game of the season on Saturday couldn't be bigger as they travel to Scunthorpe needing a win to make the Play Offs.

The Iron are one place above Rovers and a win or a draw would be enough for them to clinch sixth place and leave Rovers in seventh. With Tranmere having sold their ticket allocation there is sure to be a fantastic atmosphere inside Glanford Park as both teams seek to extend their season by at least two matches.

The two sides have met twice already this season. In League One action, Tranmere won 2-0 at Prenton Park thanks to goals from Edrissa Sonko and Ryan Shotton. However, in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Scunthorpe netted a late winner in the Northern Section Semi Finals, knocking Tranmere out 2-1 at Glanford Park.

Shotton and Sonko are likely to be in the starting line up again for the crucial match, though striker Bas Savage is a doubt and the match may come too early for Chris Shuker. Ian Goodison serves the third match of a four game ban.

Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins - a former Tranmere goalkeeper - hopes to have Joe Murphy (also ex-Rovers) back after he missed their midweek win over Cheltenham Town, but winger Henri Lansbury looks set to miss out. Defender David Mirfin's fitness will be assessed and Williams, Liam Trotter, Matt Sparrow and Andy Wright are all expected to be fit.

The match will be the 53rd time the two sides have met, with Rovers having won 19 and Scunthorpe 25. Tranmere's last win at Glanford Park came in the 2005-06 season, Chris Greenacre and Delroy Facey scoring in a 2-1 win.

Tranmere can be backed to win at 9/4 with bet365, while a 2-1 victory is 10/1. Fancy a scorecast? Ben Chorley scoring the first goal in a 4-3 win for Tranmere is an incredible 4350/1! Remember, every bet you place at bet365 directly helps the club.
