Rovers Face Grimsby In FA Youth Cup

Tranmere have been drawn away to Grimsby in the FA Youth Cup sponsored by E.ON.
The match will take place on Wednesday, 31 October, kick off 7pm at Blundell Park.
The fixture means Rovers' Reserve against Blackpool has been postponed.
Tranmere have met Grimsby Town Youth on just the one occasion since entering the FA Youth Cup in 1958-59 - in a Second Round tie during the 1996-97 season. Played (December 11th) at Prenton Park, Rovers won 2-0 as both Perry Taylor and Clint Hill scored in front of 129 spectators.
This season's tie against Grimsby Town will be Rovers 108th in the competition.
