Two goals from second year youth scholar Josh Macauley earned Tranmere a place in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup.

The striker netted both goals in the second half of Rovers' Second Round tie at Solihull Moors to set up another away match at Northampton Town.

The goals were Macauley's ninth and tenth of the season and followed on from his strike in the 3-2 extra time victory at Darlington in the First Round.

Rovers' first came when Ryan Fraughan played a pass to Dave Wilson on the left side of the pitch and the winger beat his maker before crossing to the far post for Macauley to head in.
