Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policy
Tranmere Rovers Football Club seeks to create a supportive and vigilant environment to thereby ensure the safety and well-being of all children, young people and vulnerable adults
who engage in activities within the Club. This procedure extends throughout the Club and is to be observed by all those working with children and young people whether employed by the football club or not.
The Club has a wide-range of safeguarding policies and best practice guidelines for all staff. The policies and practices throughout the Club are designed to keep young people and vulnerable adults at risk safe and free from harm. The application of these policies and procedures is not discretionary. All the requirements are obligatory and are to be enforced as indicated by the appropriate persons in all cases where there are any suspected instances of abuse or poor practice.
It is through the application of the Club’s safeguarding policies and procedures that the football club will seek to develop a positive and proactive welfare programme to enable all children and young people to participate in an enjoyable and safe environment. This equally applies to the safety and security of those working with and responsible for the activities involving children and young people. The main safeguarding Policy is available on the website and all policies are reviewed annually.
If you have a concern about a child, young person or adult at risk who engages at the Club, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the football club, Paul Morrison. He can be contacted at the football club and any matter can be discussed in complete confidence.

This policy and relevant procedures promote the statutory guidance for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children (2015), Keeping Children Safe in Education (2023) and the Sexual Offences Act (2003) and remains in place until such time as it is replaced or revoked by the football club.
