This week is the Football Association's (FA) Girls Football Week, supported by Disney, which aims to highlight the opportunities available for women's football and futsal, showcase some fantastic female footballers and futsal players, and encourage girls and women to get involved in the beautiful game.
In their first season, the Tranmere Rovers women's futsal team have taken great pride in representing Tranmere, the sport of futsal and women in sport. One of their big goals is to be positive role models and inspire a new generation of female futsal players at Tranmere.
Over the next few weeks, Tranmere Rovers women's futsal team have the opportunity to win their league and progress in the FA Futsal Cup.
The team is currently second in the National Futsal League North, and will have a title-deciding match against top-of-the-table Morecambe Ladies Futsal.
This Saturday, the team will play Team Northumbria, recently crowned British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS) Championship Futsal Champions, and current number one women's University futsal team in the country, in the FA Futsal Cup Last 16.
The Tranmere Rovers Women's Futsal team would like to invite all Tranmere fans, girls, women, boys and men to come along and support the team. As it's the FA Girls Football Week, entry to the fixture will be free!
