Micky previews Boxing Day match against Morecambe

Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon says his team will be ready to go on Boxing Day with Morecambe the visitors to Prenton Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The League Two match against Jim Bentley's men is the first of two matches at Prenton Park this week, and a chance to build on the Club's excellent home form which has seen Mellon's men collect 24 points from 11 league games since promotion back to the EFL.

Speaking ahead of the game, the manager said: "The beauty of this time of year is that the games come thick and fast and we have another opportunity to get involved in another game very quickly. We have digested what has happened from Saturday and it is a chance to move on.

"It is always good to play at home. We want to represent the fantastic following that we have in the best possible way. We have got back to work very quickly and we will recovered and ready to go on Boxing Day.

"We are in a good position and we know that but we are always disappointed to lose games at anytime but we will move forward and improve."

Tickets for our FA Cup third round tie at home to Tottenham Hotspur next month have been made available to buy for supporters who have purchased a ticket for the Boxing Day game against Morecambe up until after the game on Wednesday.

Supporters with a Morecambe ticket should either enter their Morecambe ticket order number when purchasing a Tottenham ticket online at www.trfctickets.co.uk or present their Morecambe ticket when purchasing their Tottenham ticket in person. 

Any supporters paying cash on the turnstiles against Morecambe will be issued with a voucher which they can present after the match in the Club Shop to entitle them to purchase a Tottenham ticket.​
