TRIC Adult Day Centre and Dementia group enjoy festivities at TRFC

24 December 2018

Tranmere Rovers in the community held their annual festive parties with firstly the local day centres from across the Wirral, followed by the Dementia and Alzheimers awareness group in the afternoon.

All of the day centres took part in the festivities which included bingo, Christmas songs, mince pies & biscuits. The day centres, who come in every Thursday, always look forward to taking part in their annual Christmas party, where they get to socialise with other people from different centres.

Sessions run every Thursday 11.00am - 12.00pm and usually include chair fitness, football and then bingo once a month.

The Dementia social group also met for their annual Christmas get together, enjoying board games, darts and pool.

The group who have been attending every Thursday, have taken part in various activities throughout the year. They have tried their hands at chair exercises, boccia, darts, walking football, quizzes and much more!

We welcome anyone who has been affected by Dementia or Alzheimers, including their carers and families, as we feel it is important for these people to feel like they are supported and are able to meet like minded people who may be having similar struggles to themselves.

We run this session every Thursday afternoon, 2.00pm - 4.00pm and welcome anyone who has been affected by Dementia & Alzheimers.

For all information on our activities contact the community office on 0151 608 2354.
