B&M Waste Services Help Raise £10,000 For Charity

16 July 2018

Over 250 walkers stepped out to fundraise for Stick ‘n' Step at this year's Wirral Coastal Walk, the largest team the local cerebral palsy charity has ever fielded. More than £10,000 has been raised by the walkers so far, enough to fund places for two children to attend conductive education sessions at Stick ‘n' Step for a year. The charity's team was sponsored by Tranmere's shirt sponsors, B&M Waste Services, which provided a £2,000 boost to the fundraising efforts.

Neil Curtis, Managing Director at B&M Waste Services said “It's a phenomenal achievement to raise over £10,000. I congratulate all those who took part in the extreme temperatures we are seeing at the moment. Stick ‘n' Step is a truly deserving charity, who do amazing work with the children they support. We are proud to support them”

Stick ‘n' Step offers support services to children with cerebral palsy and their families. The charity provides the children with totally free of charge conductive education sessions, allowing them to gain the skills they need to live independent lives. Over 80 children, from across the region, attend these sessions weekly or twice weekly at the charity's Wallasey and Runcorn centres.
