Manager Micky Mellon was pleased with his side's workout in their opening pre-season friendly of the summer.
Rovers defeated Dunfermline 4-0 at East End Park thanks to goals from Larnell Cole, Amadou Soukouna, Danny Walker-Rice and Nick Long.
Mellon said: “It's been a tough week for us. We've worked hard since Monday, done a lot of running and this is our first run out and it was nice to be back out on the grass again.
“Some of the youth team players only came up this morning so it was nice to give them a run out and get them on the pitch.
“It's really early and we won't get carried away. We know we've got an awful lot of work to do but it gives us that platform to work forward from. But there's a lot of stuff we need to get better.”
