We spoke to Manager Micky Mellon following our friendly against Fleetwood Town…
“There are a lot of things we want to get better at and that’s what pre-season is all about. We want to be better in the final third and be more of a goal threat but that will come.
“This is why we wanted these types of games. We can figure out what we need to improve on and act on it.
“We wanted players to get match time and stick to the principals of what we want to do, with and without the ball.
“There was a lot of good play and it became a passing exercise for both teams at one stage but overall I’m pleased with the day’s work
“It’s the first time that some of our players have done the full 90 minutes which will do them the world of good.”
