TRFC Futsal National League Women Trials

10 July 2018

Tranmere Rovers Futsal will be holding open trials on Saturday 28th July from 12pm to 2pm.

We are excited to be entering into our second season of the Futsal National League for the upcoming 2018/19 season . An open trial is being hosted at Tranmere Rovers Futsal Hub on Borough Road as the club casts the net out for more undiscovered futsal talent on the Wirral.

This season the women's team will play in the re branded FA Futsal Women's League, which they were painstakingly within a goal of winning and qualifying for the national semi finals. While there is a feeling of unfinished business, the challenge will be harder than ever. The league has been strengthened with the additions of national top four team Cheshire Futsal, formerly Wrexham, and Wigan, developed by former England Coach Pete Sturgess' futsal academy.

Trials last year provided a really strong intake of players to launch the project, and would go on to form a really committed group who very nearly won the league on the last day of the season.

Coach Matt Fejos said: “We've come so far in the last 12 months and now this group has so much ambition and drive to keep developing the women and girl's game of futsal at Tranmere. The upcoming trials will no doubt uncover some more uncovered talent on the Wirral and strengthen what is a really competitive group of girls who work hard and learn the game really fast. I know there will be some girls and women out there (minimum age 16) who have either fallen out of competitive football or who are potentially better suited to the game of futsal.

If you wish to attend, please fill out this online form.

We hope to see you at the trials.
