Tranmere Rovers Futsal will be holding open trials on Saturday 14th July and Sunday 15th July. There will be one session each day at 11 AM - 1 PM
We are excited to be entering into our third season of the Futsal National League with both a first team and a development team again representing the club for the upcoming 2018/19 season . An open trial is being hosted at Tranmere Rovers Futsal Hub on Borough Road as the club casts the net out for more undiscovered futsal talent on the Wirral.
Next year the Futsal team will be playing in the FA National Futsal League which will see them face opposition from all over the country as well as playing in the FA Futsal Cup, possibly against the top teams in the Super League.
In the past, the trials have been a success. Some of the current first team players have progressed via the trials including 18 year old Captain Jordan Deer who has also since represented England at his age level.
Coach Mett Fejos said: "In our first trial we had 70 players attend wanting to represent Tranmere in the national league. Some were only 16 years old at the time and have developed into some of the most promising youngsters in England, playing against the best in the country and making U19 England squads. We're developing the depth with young players coming through and the upcoming trials to develop two really strong teams to play in the national league this season.
“We're really keen to see what else we can uncover on the Wirral and see who else can step up to the honour of representing Tranmere Rovers in both our first team and development teams. I know there must be more out there from various backgrounds, and there are some players more suited to futsal than football which can reignite their passion for the game. We're really excited for season three.”
