Open Day This Sunday 1 July - What's On

27 June 2018

We have our annual Open Day at Prenton Park on Sunday. There's quite a packed schedule so here's an idea of what will be going on to help you plan your day:

The day will kick off at 10am with a reveal of the new away kit – chosen by supporter vote - at the shop front. The kit will be available to pre-order on the day, for delivery in late July.

Then make your way up to the Boardroom to get player autographs and photographs. The whole squad and management team will be there from 10am - 11.30am – your first chance to meet some of our new players. Entrance to the Board room is via the Silver Lounge, which will be set up for a Christmas party night.

The Gold lounge will have some displays showing plans for some building work that is shortly to take place in the Gold and Silver lounges, and we will have samples of food from the Talbot and menus from both the Talbot and the new matchday hospitality food offerings.

Hi Impact will be in the private boxes, doing some fun camera wizardry with their green screen technology, so you can have your photo taken with a variety of backdrops.

The Platinum lounge will be set up to showcase how it can be used for weddings and private parties.

In the Fan Zone, you will be able to pick up your season cards, have a drink from the bar, or buy some food from Cowsheds catering.

In the car park there will be a whole variety of activities going on, including:

• your chance to pit your table football skills against former players including Shaun Garnett, Jimmy Harvey, Mark Hughes and Zoom Bakayogo;

• Face painting

• a dance display from Christopher Maloney's Dance school;

• a guest appearance by Elsa from Frozen, who will be singing some of her best known songs; and

• a dog show – with prizes for (1) the dog with the waggiest tail; (2) the dog that looks most like its owner; (3) the dog the judge would most like to take home; and (4) best in show.

You will have a chance to see the first team dressing room for one last time before a major renovation starts the following week and we will have a photographer pitch-side so that you can have your photo taken with the Play-Off Trophy with the magnificent backdrop of the Kop stand. We will be taking orders for professional prints or for the pictures to be printed onto key rings or fridge magnets if you wish (although you are free to take your own photos if you prefer).

In the area under the stand by Wembley bar we will have some historical pictures and articles about the Club.

In the Futsal Hub we will have a futsal tournament going on, and the community team will be organising some football activities.

The Police will be bringing horses and we hope the Fire Brigade will also be able to join us (as long as there are no fires to put out!).

And of course, Rover the dog will be there throughout.

To make sure you don't go hungry we will have the Wembley Bar open and Cowsheds Catering serving food in the Fan Zone, We will also have a burger van, ice cream van, popcorn and candy floss machines in the car park, and the Rec Café will be open.

We will be encouraging supporters to tweet their photos of the day and the best will win a prize.

And if that's not enough, the Trust will be showing two films in the Fan Zone as part of the Art of Football initiative. The first film will be at 1.30 and is a film entitled “Football Rebels” featuring Eric Cantona introducing 5 football heroes who challenged unjust regimes. The second will be screened at 3pm and is Justin's Fashanu's moving story.

It's going to be a fun packed day so don't miss it!
