Update on the pitch renovation at Prenton Park
The final game at Prenton Park took place on Sunday 20 May as Liverpool FC Ladies faced Chelsea FC Ladies in the FA Women's Super League.
Since then, the Prenton Park pitch has been renovated with the top layer of turf removed and the pitch reseeded for the 2018-19 campaign in the EFL.
The pitch currently looks more conducive to beach volleyball than football, but the first signs of green shoots are beginning to appear (left)!
The green, green grass of home will quickly return and the pitch will be ready for action when Rovers play their first scheduled game on it against fellow newly-promoted side Wigan Athletic on Saturday 14 July, kick-off 3:00pm.
