Jurgen Klopp's side to visit Prenton Park as part of preparations for the 2018-19 season
Tranmere Rovers will host Premier League side Liverpool FC in a pre-season friendly at Prenton Park on Wednesday 11 July, with a 7:30pm kick-off.
The Reds had a strong season in 2017-18, finishing fourth in the Premier League and reaching the Champions League Final where they narrowly missed out to Real Madrid in Kiev at the end of last month.
It will be an excellent test for Micky Mellon's side against one of Europe's most exciting attacking teams as we prepare for the first season back in the EFL following promotion from the National League at the end of 2017-18.
Rovers have added defender Mark Ellis and midfielder Ollie Banks to the squad so far this summer. This will be the first opportunity to welcome Mark to Prenton Park, and to welcome Ollie back to the Club. The Club anticipates further additions to the squad before 11th July.
This will be the third consecutive summer that Liverpool FC have visited Prenton Park after previously running out narrow 1-0 winners in 2016 with striker Danny Ings scoring in a game which saw the debut of Sadio Mane, before last year's 4-0 victory.
Ticket information for this fixture will be announced in due course.
