Ollie Banks has agreed to join the Club despite other offers on the table, but believes that there was no chance that he could turn down a return to Prenton Park.
Banks has praised the family-like spirit at Tranmere, and admits that it was the only club he wanted to sign for.
The midfielder says the Super White Army have played a key part in his decision and admitted that he loved his time at the Club last season.
“It was the only club really that I wanted to sign for," he said. "I had a few offers on the table which was nice, but I wanted to come back here.
“I have spoken to Micky (Mellon) a few times since I have left, and when I got the chance to come back and play my football here was an easy decision to make.
“When I came to the club last season, I loved it straight away and felt that I was born into the family at Tranmere Rovers.
“The fans are massive at Tranmere. Obviously when you sign for a new club, you need to look at everything and coming back here ticked those boxes.
“There is a good team spirit at Tranmere, and it is a very good dressing room and I made some good friends.”
