Midfielder delighted to sign new deal at Tranmere
Jay Harris has committed his future to Tranmere Rovers by signing a new one-year contract with the Club today.
The 31-year-old says that it was an easy decision to make and he is really pleased to remain at Prenton Park for another 12 months.
He said: "I'm over the moon, I can't wait to get going again now.
"It's been a couple of weeks since the season finished, the party's over now, and I'm just really happy to be part of the Club again.
"I think I'd made the decision to stay before I was even offered it! I said that if the opportunity came my way, I'd grab it with both hands."
Looking forward to next season, having accomplished one promotion at the end of last season, Harris say he and the team will be looking to keep the forward momentum going into 2018-19.
"I said when I arrived that I wanted to take the Club back to where they belong.
"We've won promotion, but the Club doesn't belong in League Two, do we? We belong higher and so the aim again is promotion.
"I've been here three years and have loved every minute of it. I've been in a good team, with a winning mentality and a great team spirit, so I'm looking forward to more of the same next season."
