Jennings Pens New Deal At Tranmere

Attacker extends stay at Prenton Park

Connor Jennings has today put pen-to-paper on a new contract which extends his deal at Tranmere Rovers until the end of the 2019-20 season.

The 26-year-old arrived at the Club in the summer of 2016 from Wrexham where he had been club captain, having previously played for the likes of Macclesfield Town and Grimsby Town as well as gaining Football League experience in League One with Scunthorpe United.

During his two seasons at Prenton Park, Jennings has been a key member of the Rovers squad, making 78 appearances and scoring 17 goals.

He has also been a creative force in Micky Mellon's side, assisting a number of goals including the cross for James Norwood's winning goal in the Promotion Final at Wembley to secure Tranmere's place back in the Football League.

In December 2017, Jennings picked up the National League Player of the Month award after scoring six goals in four league games during that period.

Manager Micky Mellon said: "Connor played a big part in helping the team to promotion back into the Football League so I'm delighted to keep him at the football club.

"He is a very clever and talented player who has done really well for us, so I'm pleased he'll be part of the group which will embark on our first season back in League football."

Connor has signed up for next season and you can too with a 2018-19 season ticket. Don't miss a kick of our first season back in the EFL! Buy online at www.trfctickets.co.uk.
