THE MATCH
Vanarama National League Promotion Final
Tranmere Rovers vs Boreham Wood
Saturday 12 May 2018
Kick-off 3:00pm at Wembley Stadium
TEAM NEWS
All eyes will be on the national stadium on Saturday afternoon as the final promotion place from the Vanarama National League into the EFL will be decided at Wembley.
2nd placed finishers Tranmere Rovers take on Boreham Wood who finished fourth in the standings, with the winners gaining the final place in Sky Bet League Two for the 20181-9 campaign.
Full-back Adam Buxton has been struggling with a stomach injury in the past few weeks, and was replaced during Tranmere's semi-final victory over Ebbsfleet United last weekend.
Connor Jennings has missed the last two matches, but comes back into contention following illness to give Micky Mellon selection problems of a positive nature.
Opponents Boreham Wood won through to this stage having defeated AFC Fylde in an 'eliminator' before seeing off Sutton United away from home in their play-off semi-final last Sunday afternoon.
Kane Smith, Jamie Turley and Morgan Ferrier all missed that victory over Sutton United, but manager Luke Garrard says he is confident two of the three will be available to feature against Rovers at Wembley.
