Manager looks ahead to Wembley final
Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon has been preparing his side for one final game of the 2017-18 season.
Rovers take on Boreham Wood in the Vanarama National League Promotion Final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon with a place in the EFL up for grabs for the winners.
Tranmere have been to this stage before, 12 months ago, and the manager says it has made the players and staff feel calmer this time around with the knowledge of the surroundings from last season's visit to the national stadium.
He said: "It's great for the football club and the journey to get it back to where we want it to get to.
"When you go back into an environment where you've been before, it certainly makes you a lot calmer.
"But even though we feel calmer, we still know there is a job to be done, but we know the environment in which that job has to be done now.
"We have felt it before, the vast majority of the squad played there last year, so we know what to expect and we are really looking forward to it."
