Manager Micky Mellon spoke to the local media ahead of this weekend’s League Two encounter at home to Exeter City.
The boss is hoping Rovers can continue their good form on home soil following last Saturday’s emphatic 5-1 victory at home to Crawley Town.
Exeter, who sit two points and three places ahead of Rovers, are one of the inform teams away from home in the division, collecting 13 points from their eight matches on the road so far.
Mellon said: “Exeter City are a very good side, they have lots of experience and they were League Two Play-Off finalists last year.
“We know we are in for a tough match, it is a great challenge but one we are looking forward to as we enjoy playing at Prenton Park. It is good to be involved in these types of games.
“We are taking every game as it comes on its merit. We have a look at the threats our opposition has as they always do, and we take it game by game.
“Every point is invaluable but don’t believe any game is more important to us than any other as they are all worth three points and that is the prize.
“We don’t mention where we are in the league, we know where we are as the players look at the league table.”
