International Soccer Academy go to USA!

5 October 2018

Tranmere Rovers International Soccer Academy are flying across the pond on Monday to the USA!

Technical Director Danny O'Donnell and International Coach and Recruitment Manager Matt Hunter from ISA will be in America for the remainder of this month to showcase the programme to colleges and universities in the States.

The duo will leave from Manchester Airport on Monday afternoon and will land back in England on Halloween night, the 31st October, spooky!

In between those dates, Dan and Matt will be visiting 20 colleges in 13 different states and will be speaking to various head coaches in the male and female game throughout the universities.

In terms of travelling, they will rack up 4,500 miles driving with the longest drive being 13 hours. Yeovil away suddenly doesn't seem as far...

The aim is to attract college players to the ISA for elite training during the US off season periods as well as forming partnerships and relationships with the universities that they will be visiting.

In addition, Dan and Matt will also be meeting up with the TRFC USA Supporters Group in Chicago to watch our game against Macclesfield on Friday 12th October which promises to be a great game!

Speaking ahead of the trip, Matt said: “It is great to launch the ISA programme in North America due to the high interest we have received. We are really excited to be travelling to the USA next week and meet everyone in person.”
