Luke McCullough looking to bounce back against Crawley

26 October 2018

Luke McCullough is looking forward to being back at Prenton Park this weekend and is hoping to bounce back from Tuesday’s defeat.

“Back at Prenton Park. It feels like it has been a while since we played Macclesfield on the Friday night so we’ll hope to start Saturday’s game well and get the crowd right behind us.

“We’re at the right end of the table, fighting in and around the play-off spots which I’m sure we would have took at the start of the season. The main thing is that we stay there and don’t take our foot off the gas. Bouncing back from Tuesday night will be the best way to do it.

The Northern Ireland international admits that resilience has been a big part of our game so far this season.

“We obviously haven’t lost many games this season and we haven’t lost back to back yet either which is the sign of a good group with good character to bounce back from a bad result.

After two long journeys in a short space of time, McCullough insists that the squad can’t use that as an excuse for the result against Forest Green.

“Having that run of fixtures isn’t ideal but we can’t use that as an excuse, we still should have started the game better and we’ll have to bounce back from that”.
