Tranmere Rovers first year scholar goalkeeper Joe Bickerstaffe has been announced as part of the England under 19 Futsal squad to be part of the England training camp at St.Georges Park.
Academy Manager Andy Parkinson said:
“We’re really happy for Joe to get his call up and be given the opportunity to represent the country in Futsal.
“Futsal has been part of the Club for a few years now and we feel that it helps to develop players, not just in outfield positions but also goalkeepers. The skills that you learn are transferrable between the sports.
“It will be good to see Joe experience training at an international level and we’re sure he will make the most of the opportunity.”
