Tranmere Rovers full back Jake Caprice wants to kick-start another winning run in League Two, starting this weekend at Newport County.
Tranmere’s impressive seven match winning run came to an end earlier this week, with a narrow loss at Oldham Athletic, as Rovers were supported by nearly 2,500 travelling fans at Boundary Park.
Caprice, who joined TRFC last summer, has played a key role since his arrival from Leyton Orient, making 45 appearances so far for the Club.
Speaking in Thursday’s pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to South Wales, Caprice said: “We have another big game coming up on Saturday so there is no time to dwell on last Tuesday’s match. We have to move on and hopefully we will get a good result on Saturday.
“We have to bounce back and put in a good performance.
“Every team is fighting for something and different things but no game in this league is easy. We have found out this season that every game is difficult.
“Other than Tuesday, we have kept a lot of clean sheets in recent weeks and we want to collect another clean sheet on Saturday.
“We have been on a brilliant run to get ourselves into this position but even when we lose, we have that belief we can put a run together.
“There are a massive six games coming up and hopefully we will finish where we want to. We are confident.”
