Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon believes that preparation is key for his side ahead of their Sky Bet League Two home fixture with promotion contenders Bury at Prenton Park.
Rovers head in to game with Ryan Lowe’s Shakers currently sixth in the division, four-points off Mansfield Town in third with a game in hand following Saturday's postponment.
Tranmere are back in front of the SWA for their final Prenton Park outing of the regular campaign, having won 14 times in 22 games at home.
And Mellon expects his team to be fully prepared for the visit of the Greater Manchester club to the Wirral, as TRFC look to build on Easter Monday’s hard-fought goalless draw away at champions Lincoln City.
Mellon said: “It has always been about preparing properly for the next game and we will always prepare properly for that, regardless of what happens, we will always try and win the next game, the next game is Bury and that is what are in the process of doing.
“I’m always worried about momentum but I think what you do take forward is that we do have a way of playing if we hit the right tempo and the right intensity, it has got us results this season, and at the minute we are hitting those levels and apart from maybe getting the crucial goals at crucial times, taking your chances, we are doing well.
“You have got to go out there and be prepared to do the things that we have done again, you have to be relentless, but you have to be prepared to keep going again and keep the performance levels high.”
He added: “It has been a tough, long season. It’s not just been recent games. They have all been tough, but we have done very, very well.
“We want to keep fighting until the very end to see what happens, so it will be another great game with a big crowd and the games you want to be involved in.”
