Blackett-Taylor confident that results will come

16 August 2019

Tranmere Rovers forward Corey Blackett-Taylor is confident that results will take a positive turn for the Club as they go in search of their first win in Sky Bet League One when Bolton Wanderers visit Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon.

Phil Parkinson brings his Trotters side, who are currently on -11 points and in administration, to the Wirral from Greater Manchester, with Rovers having slipped to defeats in their opening two games in the third-tier.

It is the first meeting at league level between the two North West rivals since 2001.

And Birmingham-native Blackett-Taylor, 21, who is one of 12 new signings to move to TRFC this summer, is positive that Rovers’ form will pick up after recent positive performances.

Blackett-Taylor said: “There is still a lot of new players here so once we start to gel, the results will pick up as well.

“It’s still a very long season so there is still a lot of time to turn things around.

“There were some positives to take from the Hull game in the second-half so we feel we can take the positives from the Hull performance into the next game.

“It’s a physical league, there are some good players and every game is difficult, so we need to take it every game at a time.

“There is always a good atmosphere at Prenton Park, so we want to put in a good performance for the fans and we’re looking forward to it.”
