Rovers sign Ferrier

1 August 2019

Tranmere Rovers are delighted to confirm the signing of Walsall striker Morgan Ferrier for an undisclosed fee.

A former Arsenal trainee, the 24-year-old has been a long term target for the Club and will be available for this weekend's game at home to Rochdale.

Ferrier, who played more than 30 times in League One last season, played at Prenton Park only last week for Walsall in a pre-season friendly against Micky Mellon's men.

Manager Micky Mellon said: “I’m really happy to bring his a player with his qualities into the group.

“He’s still young at 24 and if he keeps improving we’ll have a top player. We’re excited to be working with Morgan.”

New recruit Ferrier added: “I’m delighted to get it over the line and join such a massive club.

“I’ve played against Tranmere a few times and the first thing that strikes you is the massive stadium, huge fanbase and the good players that we have.

“Obviously you want to play as high as you can and I’ve got the bit between my teeth. I can’t wait to get started and work hard.
