Ferrier wanting to push on in December

6 December 2019

Tranmere Rovers forward Morgan Ferrier believes that the confidence that he and his team-mates have will be key ahead of tomorrow’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Accrington Stanley at Prenton Park.

Micky Mellon’s men welcome Stanley to the Wirral in the third-tier, and he feels that this weekend’s game is “massive.”

Ferrier, 25, said: “Confidence is high, and everyone is battling for places, so hopefully we can take that into the league, and get the win on Saturday.

“It’s a massive game. They are only a couple of points above us, and in this league, if you get a couple of wins during this period, you can hit form and it can push you up.

“They are a good team and they have their own threats, so we need to go into the game with the mindset of we need to do what we need to do.

“We all need to come together as a collective. It is a massive month coming up.”

Ferrier scored a hat-trick in the Emirates FA Cup win over Chichester City last Sunday, and he is keen to keep up his form.

He added: “Goals are what you’re judged on mainly as a striker. You need to bring a lot of other things to the game and what the gaffer wants.

“If I’m scoring and we’re winning, that is the main thing.”
