Ishmael Miller's first TRFC interview

7 January 2019

Tranmere Rovers’ new striker Ishmael Miller is determined to give his all for the Club and he cannot wait to get started.

The 31-year-old, who has three promotions to the Premier League to his name, including two Championship winner’s medals, will bring a wealth of experience to the Rovers squad

Now a Rovers player, Miller is excited about what the rest of the season could bring, starting this weekend against Cheltenham Town.

Miller said: “As soon as I heard the Club were interested, I was super excited. It is a massive Club, I remember the days when they were in the top leagues in England. I am going to do my best and help.

“We have a great team with some great players. There is a great atmosphere which is such an important thing.”

Miller, who has played more than 10 years in the top two tiers of English football, came through the academy system at Manchester City, and has also played for WBA, Huddersfield Town and Middlesbrough.

Now the striker has a new target and he is ready to hit the ground running. He continued: “My goal is to try and get Tranmere in the position where I think we can be at the end of the season.

“My hopes for the rest of the season are to help get Tranmere where I think the Club can be, give my all for the team for the fans and the manager, if I do that and everybody else does that, and it looks like everyone is doing that, I think there are exciting times coming up.”
