Tranmere Rovers boss Micky Mellon can’t wait for the remainder of the 2018/19 League Two campaign, starting this weekend against Swindon Town.
Rovers are just two points off the Play-Offs heading into Saturday’s game and only six points off Mansfield in third spot.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the manager said: “Every point is massive now and isn’t that great. We have to remember if somebody had offered us 19 massive games at the end of the season, we would have bitten your hand off as we are at the positive end of the table.
“We have always believed in the players, but we didn’t know where we were going to be. I am excited, and I am really pleased we are at the right end of the table coming up to the business end of the season.
“Every credit to the players but we still have 19 huge games coming up. Tranmere should be competing in big games all the time. I am not getting carried away, I am just pleased we have a lot of important games coming up that are going to mean something.”
