Defender Sid Nelson is determined to play his part in helping Tranmere Rovers move forward after joining on loan from Championship side Millwall.
The 23-year-old centre back, who has played more than 100 senior games, will link up with the squad ahead of this weekend’s trip to Port Vale.
And the former Swindon Town loan man admitted as soon as he found out about Tranmere’s interest, he couldn’t turn the opportunity down.
He said: “I am glad I am joining a Club that is looking forward and I now want to help the team push on.
“I found out about Tranmere’s interest a few days ago now and obviously I felt good about hearing that as Tranmere are a huge Club with a great fan base.
“It is a team going in the right direction, so when I found out about the move, I was delighted, and I am happy the deal has gone through.
“As a player you want to compete in front of as many people as possible and Tranmere is a huge football club with a lot of history and I can’t wait to get going.
“I have played in League Two already this season with Swindon Town, so I know what the division is all about. I know what this division is all about and I am focused on helping Tranmere Rovers move forward.”
