Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce defender Manny Monthe has agreed a new two-year contact with the Club.
The 24-year-old centre back, who won the Club’s Young Player of the Season award, has been instrumental in helping Rovers secure back-to-back promotions to Sky Bet League One.
Monthe turned down interest from numerous clubs to remain at Prenton Park, and he will now be looking to build upon the 23 clean sheets Rovers kept during the 2018/19 season.
Manager Micky Mellon said: “We’re delighted that Manny will be moving forward with us.
“He has been part of two very successful seasons here which have seen us achieve back to back promotions. A solid defence has been a key part of achieving that success, and ensuring that Manny stayed to lead the back line in League 1 was a key priority for me. He’s a young player with a hugely bright future and I’m delighted he has committed to us.”
