Kip on the Kop a great success once again!

14 October 2019

Kip on the Argyle Satellite Taxis Kop on Friday night proved a great success, with the event raising valuable money and awareness for several local charities.

Participants, including Vice-Chairman Nicola Palios and Managing Director Dawn Tolcher, arrived at Prenton Park for the sleepout to start at 6pm, and did not leave until the following morning.

And we would like to thank every participant who took part in the successful event for a great cause.

Tranmere Rovers are Wirral’s Family Club, and we want to show our support to local initiatives and charitable causes.

Braving the cold weather in their sleeping bags, volunteers were on hand to provide soup and hot drinks to everyone who attended Kip on the Argyle Satellite Kop.

In association with Wirral Ark and Tranmere Rovers In the Community, Kip on the Argyle Satellite Kop returned for a second successive year and highlighted with issues of homelessness in the local Wirral community, raising over £1,000 in donations.

Speaking after completing Kip on the Argyle Satellite Taxis Kop, Dawn said: “Kip on the Argyle Satellite Taxis Kop was a great way to raise awareness for an important issue and everyone who participated should be proud of themselves.

"It was an eye opener to what homeless people experience . Wirral Ark and Tranmere Rovers would like to thank everyone who donated and participated."

There is still time to raise some more money for Wirral Ark, Stroke of Luck and TRIC at our Salsa Night on Saturday 2nd November! Click here to find out more!
