Fans for Diversity event to be held at Prenton Park!

Tranmere Rovers Football Club are hosting a Fans for Diversity and Fan Engagement at Prenton Park on Thursday 26th September, starting at 6pm.

Fans For Diversity is a campaign programme run in partnership between the Football Supporters' Association (FSA), the national membership organisation for football fans, and Kick It Out, English football’s equality and inclusion organisation.

Fans For Diversity encourages, funds and supports initiatives by fan groups to promote diversity and inclusion in football, and to challenge all forms of discrimination.

In conjunction with the FSA (Football Supporters Association), Rovers fan groups are invited to discuss issues affecting the game, including Racism, Homophobia, Sexism, Disability and Antisemitism.

Taking place in the Platinum Lounge, the FSA’s Anwar Uddin will present a 30-minute presentation before opening out to a question and answer discussion.

Members of the Tranmere Rovers first-team squad will attend the event, which will bring together to diverse fan base that the Club has.

The aim of the evening is to raise awareness of what fan engagement is at Tranmere Rovers regarding the diversity and equality of the Club in the local Wirral community.

Food and refreshments will also be provided at the event.

TRFC’s squad will also warm up in Fans for Diversity t-shirts ahead of their Sky Bet League One fixture at home to Burton Albion on Saturday 21st September.
